Secrets of the Tornado Secrets of the Tornado is our newest video. Among the highlights, you'll see: Video footage of a tornado taken from an airplane flying so close that you can just about reach out and touch it. Unedited video taken with studio quality equipment on May 27th in Jarrell, Texas, and later, the damage in Jarrell taken from a helicopter. Incredibly intense, window-smashing, howling-wind video from Cedar Park, Texas, a few minutes after the Jarrell tornado, in a home that is receiving a direct hit while the camcorder continues taping. In Sumner County, Kansas, a camcorder in a specially designed, armadillo-shaped casing weighed down with 70 pounds of lead was placed directly in the path of an oncoming tornado. For the first time, the entire passage of the funnel was recorded on videotape. This was the culmination of a year of planning, building, and design by one of the leading storm chasing guides. It was a remarkable achievement, and is a Secrets of the Tornado exclusive.
